Dear Ground Cuckoo birding friends, My name is Emmanuel Guzmán, I am a local guide in the community of El Coyol of Alajuela Costa Rica, I have been working with birds and studying cavity-nesting birds for the last 12 years, a work that involves sustainable services for the benefit of our community and birds on the Valley. My goal for the next 5 years is to foment these projects around the industrial area around my community to support the birds and other species of wildlife. On my tour, we will visit these projects, we include: Transportation, a bilingual guide, snacks Is an ideal option for the first or last day by the airport and an opportunity to complete your birding list with northwestern range bird species. By the way, the name Coyol refers to a local palm tree species, a favorite nesting tree of the Yellow-napped Parrot and Lineated Woodpecker. The dry forest near the airport offer a number of interesting birds like Lesser Ground Cuckoo, Yellow-naped Parrot, Crested Bobwhite and others. Join me Emma to find them!
